AXES
We have partnered with Mizuno Seisakusho to distribute their axes internationally. Mizuno Industries was founded in 1937 in Sanjo, Niigata prefecture, originally making replacement blades for wooden planes. The rise of electric power tools prompted Mizuno to shift their focus to manufacturing axes. Grooves are carved into the axe's blade to symbolise the prescence of the Shinto gods in nature, and invoke their protection when conducting potentially dangerous work with the axe.
Bushcrafter's axes
These axe blades are made from 3 layers of laminated steel. The broadaxe's grip measures 330mm in length, making it easy for some smaller precision work. The craft axe's grip is 245mm, making it very portable and ideal for use on camping trips to chop logs for campfires, etc.
The smooth oak grip is easy on your hands, and lends the axe a refined look. Mizuno has also included a strap to make it easy to tie onto your pack or belt for quick access! These axes also come with genuine leather sheaths to keep the blade protected.
