Naming scheme breakdown

The names for the types of chopping boards Hasegawa sells can be confusing, so please see the explanation here.

FRK and FSR are made of softer plastics, which prevents wear on your blades over time.

FSB and FPEL boards are made with harder plastic for more durability.

Hasegawa chopping boards combine wood in order to maintain hardness of the board, as well as self-healing plastic to increase durability over time, and protect the wooden core from moisture. The softness of the plastic surface reduces wear on blades, and the boards are impregnated with ionised silver which will deactivate any bacteria living on the board. These are some of the many reasons why Hasegawa boards are preferred by chefs across the globe.
