CHOPPING BOARDS

Naming scheme breakdown

Here is a breakdown of the names Hasegawa use for chopping boards and what type of board it corresponds to!

FRK and FSR are made of softer plastics, which prevents wear on your blades over time.

FSB and FPEL boards are made with harder plastic for more durability.

Hasegawa chopping boards combine wood and self-healing plastic. The wood ensures the board stays rigid, while the plastic increases durability and protects the wooden core from moisture. The softness of the plastic surface reduces knife wear and tear, and the boards are impregnated with ionised silver which will deactivate any bacteria living on the board. These are some of the many reasons why Hasegawa boards are preferred by chefs across the globe.
